Company profile
Taiwan Shiima Electronics Co., Ltd. is a Taiwan-based electronic-materials processing and service company established in June 2012. The company states that it is wholly invested by Japan Shiima Electronics and is located in Kaohsiung. Its service scope includes Power Cycle Test, slitting and lamination processing, semiconductor-process equipment sales, electronic-materials sales, and IC packaging and testing services. The company profile emphasizes combined experience in slitting and laminating processing and a focus on high-cleanliness, high-quality outsourced processing for electronic-material slitting and lamination. Since April 2024, Taiwan Shiima Electronics Co., Ltd. has formally introduced Power Cycle Test service, adding a named testing service to its materials-processing and equipment-related business. Its cooperation with equipment makers on jointly developed inspection equipment also demonstrates product-development support alongside processing, testing and equipment sales. The broader service portfolio therefore combines electronic-material processing, testing, semiconductor-process equipment sales, electronic-material sales and IC packaging and testing services within one Taiwan operating company.
Exhibits
Together with equipment makers, Taiwan Shiima Electronics Co., Ltd. developed a non-contact Open / Short electrical inspection device that can inspect multiple lines simultaneously on wide-width materials to improve inspection efficiency and consistency. The equipment is mainly used for electrical inspection of COF substrates installed in products such as LCD televisions and smartphones. Compared with conventional electrical inspection that uses contacting Pin needles, the device uses a brush-based power-supply design together with a non-contact sensor for Open / Short detection, reducing physical contact with the material surface and the associated risk of damage. The inspection system supplies power from one side of the wiring on the object under inspection and performs energized detection through a non-contact Sensor. Electrical signals at the energized section are acquired by the brush method, and waveform data are obtained in real time. The company also lists sales of semiconductor-process equipment as part of its supply scope. Power Cycle Test service, high-cleanliness electronic-material slitting and laminating, equipment sales, and the jointly developed non-contact inspection device together connect the company’s offering with semiconductor, electronic-material and COF-substrate processing and testing needs. Its inspection method combines one-side electrical energizing, non-contact sensing, brush-based signal acquisition and real-time waveform capture as a single inspection sequence for the target wiring.
