Since 1962, SIMACO ELETTROMECCANICA S.R.L. has designed and produced electric pumps for semiconductor applications, with particular reference to etching and wafering processes. The domestic range includes polypropylene submersible and circulation pumps for clear-water drainage from cellars, gardens and small fountains, plus stainless-steel multistage submersible pumps for lightly loaded water and configurations for specific drainage requests. For semiconductor manufacturing, the MD-CX series is a magnetic-driven electric-pump range used in etching and wafering and designed to handle fluorinated liquids from -100°C to +350°C; SIMACO states that the series has been positively tested with most fluids used in semiconductor-production temperature-control units. The listed compatible fluids include FLUORINERT FC3283, FLUORINERT FC-770, 3M NOVEC7000, NOVEC7100, NOVEC7200, NOVEC7300, NOVEC7500, NOVEC7600, GALDEN PFPE, GALDEN HT, DOWTHERM, ASAHIKLIN AE3000 and ASAHIKLIN AC 2000. In the MD-CX drive system, motion is transmitted through magnetic joints without mechanical seals, which SIMACO says virtually reduces leakage risk to zero and consequently lowers maintenance costs. The magnetic-drive stainless-steel peripheral pumps are intended for increasing or maintaining circulating pressure at medium-low hydraulic flow rates in closed-loop systems, including applications where virtually inert components are important. The MD-CX range is specified for pressures up to 9.5bar and for diathermic oil, pressurized high-temperature water, clean liquids without suspended or abrasive particles and slightly aggressive dilutions, with fluid temperatures reaching 350°C in HT versions and -100°C in CT versions. Motor options include single-phase asynchronous motors on request, three-phase asynchronous motors and optional double-frequency versions; SIMACO states that it has sized and manufactured these motors for more than 55 years, with Gr. 56-63-71 motors available with cRUus certification on request and products above 0.75kW in IE3 Premium Efficiency class. PMSM Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors are also available on request to reduce overall dimensions, costs and working-cycle consumption, provide greater flexibility for required performance and support implementation with control sensors. For semiconductor-machine requirements, MD-CX pumps can be supplied with PMSM motors with or without a fan to avoid dust movement, and SIMACO also states experience with UL certified motors and special feeding voltages for different markets and final equipment destinations. The magnetic-drive range is listed as constructed according to EN 60034-1, EN 60034-30, EN 60335-1 and EN 60335-2-41, and its named models are MD-CX 36, MD-CX 44, MD-CX 54, MD-CX 86, MD-CX 96, MD-CX 106, MD-CX 206 and MD-CX 306. SIMACO also offers stainless-steel regenerative turbine surface pumps with a mechanical seal for medium-low-flow closed circuits; the complete range is available in an MD magnetic-drive version without a mechanical seal for severe application conditions. These standard stainless-steel pumps are specified up to 9.5bar for oils, clear clean liquids without suspended or abrasive particles and slightly aggressive dilutions, with fluid temperatures up to 90°C in standard versions and 180°C in special versions on request. The range supports customization through selections of mechanical seals, electrical connections and compatibility with particular liquids and temperatures, with applications including chillers, osmosis, robotics and automation and textiles; named CX models are CX 36, CX 44, CX 54, CX 86 and CX 96. The broader surface-pump catalog includes the C brass peripheral family with C 36, C 38, C 44, C 54, C 64, C 74 and C 84, alongside the CX stainless-steel peripheral and MD-CX magnetic-drive families. Plastic centrifugal ranges include SAM21 up to 120l/min with SAM 21 DC-24V, SAM 21-2 and SAM 21-3; SAM/MAC up to 420l/min with SAM/MAC 60, 70, 80, 100 and 130; and SAM2 up to 800l/min with SAM2-180, SAM2-200, SAM2-240 and SAM2-300T.
