This thermal behavior is achieved through floating fixtures at the encoder ends relative to the machine base and by tensioning the etched steel tape. The LA Series design is intended to eliminate errors caused by temperature changes while maintaining maximum accuracy and repeatability. The etched steel tape has a graduation pitch of 0.04 mm, and measuring lengths over 4.040 mm require modules. Across semiconductor, metrology and scientific-facility use, the encoder and sensing systems are presented for machines that combine demanding precision with high travel speed and industrial reliability.
