Company profile
In 1961, "Sino-American Scientific Instrument Co." was founded on Section 3 of Roosevelt Road, Taipei. In its early years it sold simple laboratory instruments, glassware, and chemicals. As the international political and economic situation shifted, Taiwan's economic environment changed accordingly. Keeping pace with these changes, the people of Taiwan devoted themselves to all kinds of production enterprises, gradually transforming from an agricultural society into a modern free-market economy. In step with the progress of this changing industrial structure, we likewise expanded our business scope into automation control systems, focusing on process optimization and quality improvement for Taiwan's petrochemical, steel, textile, and water-treatment industries. During the 1980s-1990s, as Taiwan's precision machinery and electronics industries gradually emerged and flourished, we also actively introduced high-precision metrology and high-tech industrial equipment for application in high-tech industries such as precision machinery, electrical engineering, materials, optoelectronics, and semiconductors. Having weathered the international oil crisis of our founding years and the subsequent economic recessions and financial storms, we have crossed a span of sixty years. As we enter our second "sixty-year cycle" today, we will continue to uphold our founder's spirit of "integrity" and "sharing," striving with a "forward-looking" mindset toward the "sustainable" operation of the enterprise.

Zimmerman Scientific Co., Ltd. began in 1961 in Taipei as Zimmerman Scientific Materials Company, initially handling laboratory equipment, glassware, and chemical reagents. In 1966 it was reorganized under its current name and expanded with Taiwan's industrial transformation into automated control systems and high-precision measurement equipment for petrochemical, steel, textile, water treatment, precision machinery, electronics, materials, optoelectronics, and semiconductor applications. Through economic cycles and industry changes, the company continues to emphasize integrity, sharing, forward-looking thinking, and sustainable operations.
