MASTechは精密diamond wire slicing systemsを設計・製造し、チーム全体で50年以上のindustry experienceを持つとしています。MASTech自体はnew entityですが、engineering backgroundは2005年までさかのぼり、現在の組織より前から技術経験が蓄積されていると説明しています。このengineering backgroundにはDiamond Wire Technology、Diamond Materials Technology、Meyer Burger、MBT Systems、Innov Wire Technologyで得た経験が含まれます。チームは完成したmachineだけでなくslicing processそのものを設計してきたとし、process choiceがcutting performanceにどのように影響するかを直接経験しています。またlegacy slicing machinesのservice経験もあり、production environmentですでに稼働しているinstalled equipmentに対応してきました。MASTechはstandard slicing equipmentをadvanced aerospace compositesに適用した際に何が起こるかをfirsthandで見てきたと説明し、このようなmaterial behaviorがconventional equipmentの想定を超える場合を経験しています。同じengineering backgroundにはdelicate semiconductor materialsも含まれ、cutting時にworkpiece自体へ慎重なcontrolが必要なslicing situationにも対応してきました。process designとserviceの経験を基に、standard slicing approachのbreaking pointsを理解し、そのlimitationsをengineeringで越える方法を知っているとしています。
展示製品
現在の装置提供には、MASTechが設計・製造するprecision diamond wire slicing systemsが含まれ、同社のprocess backgroundとpurpose-built slicing equipmentを組み合わせています。設置済みDMT-brand saws向けにはemergency parts supplyを提供し、legacy equipmentで緊急maintenanceが発生してnormal operationが中断した際にreplacement componentsを供給します。同じDMT supportにはRTS、RTD、CR、NCS platformsのon-site repairが含まれ、4つのnamed legacy saw familiesに対してequipment locationでfield serviceを行います。legacy RTSおよびRTD sawsにはmodernization packagesを提供し、new controlsでcontrol sideを更新し、upgraded wear partsによって摩耗関連hardwareを更新します。これらのRTS/RTD modernization packagesはrestored precisionも目標とし、retrofitによってlegacy machineに期待されるslicing accuracyを回復しながら、updated controlsとwear componentsで使用可能なconfigurationを延長します。
