Company profile
Czech Pavilion is the national pavilion of Czechia, the Czech Republic, at SEMICON Taiwan, and it is organized jointly by the Czech Economic and Cultural Office Taipei and the investment agency CzechInvest. The pavilion brings Czech technology companies, universities, and research institutes to Taiwan so that organizations from these groups can present Czech capabilities within the semiconductor ecosystem. Its semiconductor focus includes precision equipment manufacturing, laser technologies, and particle imaging, which are identified as areas of particular Czech strength. Czechia accounts for roughly one-third of global electron-microscope production, providing a manufacturing and imaging context for the technology organizations represented through the pavilion. Past company participants named by Czech Pavilion include ADVACAM, Meopta, DCT Czech, SVCS Process Innovation, UNITES Systems, and Vakuum Servis. Past research and academic participants include the Czech National Semiconductor Cluster, Charles University, Brno University of Technology, and the HiLASE Centre. Czech Pavilion promotes research and innovation collaboration between Czech and Taiwanese partners, connecting industrial, university, and research participants around semiconductor-related work. It also supports investment and business connections across the semiconductor supply chain, and this cross-border role reflects Czechia's membership in the Alliance of European Semiconductor Regions.

Czech Pavilion also presents information on state-aid parameters for enterprise investment, with maximum aid levels varying by enterprise size and by region. For a small-sized enterprise, the maximum state aid is 40-60 % of eligible costs depending on the region. A small enterprise is defined as employing fewer than 50 employees and as having both annual turnover and annual balance-sheet total that do not exceed EUR 10 million at group level. For a medium-sized enterprise, the maximum state aid is 30-50 % of eligible costs, with the applicable level depending on the region. For a large enterprise, the maximum state aid is 20-40% of eligible costs, again depending on the region. For large enterprises, support in Plzeňský, Středočeský, Jihočeský, Jihomoravský, and Vysočina is limited to new economic activity. These aid conditions distinguish small, medium-sized, and large enterprises and set both financial thresholds and regional limits that are relevant when considering supported economic activity in Czechia. The aid framework therefore combines enterprise-size thresholds with regional conditions instead of applying one uniform maximum aid rate to every enterprise.
