For semiconductor processing, the Sentech SI 500 is an inductively coupled plasma etching system from Germany. SI 500 applications include III-V compound semiconductors such as GaAs, InP, GaN, and InSb, along with dielectrics, quartz, glass, silicon, silicon compounds including SiC and SiGe, and metals. The SI 500 supports low-damage nano structuring, simple high-rate etching, an in-house ICP plasma source, and dynamic temperature control. The related SI 500 PPD product is described with PECVD process flexibility in temperature and film and a vacuum loadlock with cleanline.
