Our company has established a complete and comprehensive patent proposal and patent management system to protect the R&D achievements of the company and its colleagues. We also maintain close contact and technical exchanges with third-party patent firms and the patent authorities, and participate in relevant seminars and training courses to stay aligned with national policy. To strengthen corporate identity, our company launched a brand-new trademark in 2018, representing a new image of the company; in 2021, we formulated the "Intellectual Property Handbook" and the "Trademark Management Regulations." The trademark management policy mainly includes trademark search, trademark proposal, and trademark-right evaluation and maintenance. Our legal affairs unit evaluates and executes various trademark-related matters; we also applied for the 2022 re-verification of the Taiwan Intellectual Property Management System (TIPS) and passed the review, with a valid period from January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2026. This not only deepens our company's trademark system but also signifies our determination to fully implement an intellectual property management system. As a pioneer and leader in the industry with more than fifty years of deep cultivation in the market, our company understands that the protection of trade secrets is a task that an industry leader must carry out. We have file encryption and tiered information-access management in place to prevent improper circulation of information that could harm the company's interests. In addition, the company regularly conducts information-security policy and trade-secret protection training for new and existing colleagues, embedding the obligation and concept of confidentiality in every employee. Through the safeguarding of all our colleagues, we block the risk of leakage of intellectual property affairs and confidential data, further consolidating corporate cohesion and enhancing our company's core competitiveness. When responding to intellectual property opportunities, the dedicated department convenes a feasibility-plan meeting together with relevant departments, enabling the company to respond quickly to market demands and changes; when facing intellectual property risks, the dedicated department convenes a "Dispute Handling Mechanism Team" to respond rapidly to the encountered IP risks and minimize the risks faced by the company.
